Media, even though it seems like they don’t have big influence on what we write and how our writing will be received, have a huge role in the entire process. During this class I learned that the right choice of the media can change the entire project. Every task we did was submitted in paper, so our Professor could grade it and give us back her notes with comments. We also submitted each assignment online using BlackBoard Platform and posted our work often on the discussion boards to review each other’s work.

At the end of the semester we did multimodal project that included: paper, online submission and Powerpoint presentation.

Aviatrix- The Future of The Skies

I found all the forms interesting. When we read something printed on a paper I think we focus more on the details while online submission allows us to exchange our ideas instantly even though we are far away from each other.

Finally, PowerPoint presentation, that has lots of images, graphics and large fonts, attracts the audience and if the speaker is performing effectively I believe we can get our point across with bigger success than sending a letter on a piece of paper. Therefore, the media matter and the way we present our paper/work can influence the outcome in a very drastic way.
