Exigence, which is what prompt the writer to write a paper, was a term that I wasn’t aware before attending this class. I knew there always is a purpose but I never considered exigence as a separate thing. The reason behind it was, I simply didn’t understand what exigence is.

When I wrote my literacy narrative, I realized that my exigence is curiosity of understanding my full journey of becoming a writer and how my mother influenced my life through reading books.

“Reading and writing is a very important part of my life. It defines who I am, and where I am going. It helps me to understand myself, to become a better person and to express myself. I will be forever grateful for this gift I received, and I will never stop giving it back to the world, by sharing my light and enthusiasm, and encouraging other people to read”. 

This sentence I expressed the outcome of my exigence, which was self discovery and explorations of my literacy.
